How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Yellowstone Valley Vet Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They are rude, disrespectful, and con people out of money. My wife and I took our kitties there to get spayed and told them only one needed shots. They gave both shots without our approval and charged us for both. Never gave us any paperwork or anything. And when my wife asked a question they treated her like she was stupid. When my wife asked how our kitties were they said "ok I think". If you love your pets, keep them away from here.

Our kitty had been attacked on our porch by a neighbor’s bully cat who bit our sweet kitty on his back at the base of his tail. The infection quickly set in and within days his tail was just hanging, he had fever, and lost coordination. I called after hours on a Thursday evening and Dr. Killen answered. He told me to bring him first thing tomorrow. Dr. Killen’s assistant was very friendly and kind, and the office was peaceful. Dr. Killen told me to come back in an hour and pick him up. He preformed a surgery to remove the infected tissue. Despite having a busy day going out and taking care of bulls, Dr. Killen made time to save our kitty. The cost of the surgery plus 2 antibiotics was so low I questioned the bill. Thank you Yellowstone Valley Vet Clinic for excellent emergency service!

By far the best Vet Doctor I have ever visited with my pets. Very polite and caring. Outstanding prices. Took great care of my sick cat. Made her up to date on all her shots and was very gentle with her. Made a worried " mom " very happy, and made one 13 year old cat healthy again! Thank you so much. Athena is well again !

Called last minute to board my dogs over July 4th weekend and they could take my dogs. Got into some road construction on the way back and couldn't make it before they closed but they were fine taking them another day.
