How to Save on Veterinary Costs at The Highland Vet
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have had such a wonderful experience working with Dr. Malone and every single member of the team there. Chelsea, Angel, Anna, Morgan y’all have been incredible. All of the girls are just fantastic. We are moving away and I will this clinic. Dr. Malone has made the upscale clinic a safe place for dogs and humans alike. She is an integrative vet who has done extensive continuing education in Veterinary Acupuncture and TCVM. A vet of this caliber is a RARITY in this region and I was thrilled to find someone offering great traditional and integrative vet care. When we moved to MS I was gutted thinking that I wouldn’t be able to find a Vet who was putting in the time to do both Western and Eastern medicine. It is so important to work support vets who are committed to continuing education beyond vet school, learning better, and in turn doing better for the animals in their care and that’s Dr. Malone and her staff. Thank you thank you. PS ask them about TCVM herbal support for your pets. It has been a game changer for our dog with spine disease and our allergic dog!

I cannot express how grateful I am for this clinic and the staff. Samantha, Morgan, and Dr. Malone were all incredibly welcoming and answered all my questions and concerns without hesitation. I was given price quotes before any procedure was performed and they loved on my cat like she was their own. Again, I am so thankful and will keep using them as our primary veterinarian now.

I have been with Dr. Malone for years. They have been with me through many joys and no shortage of tragedies. This clinic always approaches each situation as if it is the only one and treats you and your pets with the individual care and understanding you deserve for your situation. All vets are expensive, that is something you have to accept when you take ownership of a pet. The care you get with Highland Vet makes you feel that you've gotten your money's worth in proper care for your furry loved one.

I was unsure how my malinois would act since we just adopted him yesterday. The vet tech was super understanding and let us go into our own room to wait. Ronin ended up doing great and Dr. Malone came up with a treatment plan to get him back in good health!
