How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Northwood Hills Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Although Dr. Parks is very knowledgeable and super friendly, this place is corporately owned, very expensive, and seems to have high staff turnover rate. New vets and techs every time we visit. Last vet tech didn’t trim all the nails on my girl (she’s not difficult to handle at all) and incorrectly weighed her which led me to believe she had gained 6 lbs. Was quoted a price for a surgery and thankfully was able to schedule it with a different vet for half the price. There are better places for your fur baby than here.

Everyone is Amazing! They all treat Onyx like he is their dog. They are always so excited to see him and get down on the floor to pet him and love on him, especially Rachel. Onyx receives the best care and we never feel like we are rushed. Dr. Selig was with us for over 45 minutes when Onyx had been throwing up. He answered all my questions. Dr. Wigley has also cared for Onxy and she to great with him too. Dr. Parks hasn't met Onxy yet but she took wonderful care of our last dog Muffin before she passed away from cancer. I will never take my fur baby anywhere else! They real treat youlike family!

They were able to accommodate us for a last minute same day appointment. When I called the office later that day with a multitude of questions they were so detailed and patient in answering all my questions. Thank you for making Xena’s first vet visit such a positive one!!
