How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Columbia Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

These are not the veterinarian professionals they appear to be. They are the embodiment of Compassion. There, one of the worst experiences I have had to endure: the release of my Best friend from my life and this world, led me to find a depth of compassion I had not experienced or expected to find. I had always been rather cynical and jaded in my view of the profession as a whole, and had thought the industry to be parasitic to the heart and exploitative of the turmoil of those that had to seek their services. While that may still be the case in other locations it isn’t the case here. These amazing individuals went above and beyond the fear and the hurt and the grief and brought some comfort and compassion to me. They confronted and erased the conviction that there were none that kept principles over profits. They delivered something more important to me then I ever delivered to them. From the bottom of my heart: thank you all for helping BattlestarGalactica BeefcakeSupreme and me through this. “There was a little Spanish Flea. A record star ‘Beef thought he’d be. We heard of singers like Beatles the chipmunks he’d see on T.V.’s… why not Beefcake’s little Spanish Flea?”

Our dogs love the staff here! The Doctor Took the time to explain all treatments and medication that we were prescribed. And they gave us information regarding the latest information on the proper food for our dogs. We also bring all of our cats here for any services they need. We are happy with the treatment we get.

I hate giving bad reviews but this has been bothering me for a while, and I just think that people should know before they trust one of the veterinarians (male vet who sees exotics) here with rabbits. I brought in a rabbit who had a tumor growing on his testicle to be examined for a potential neuter. The bunny had a previous history of respiratory problems which is why I was nervous about putting him under anesthesia. I specifically asked the veterinarian if he thought he was at higher risk due to his past respiratory issues and he said that he wasn't at a higher risk than any other bunny. I scheduled the surgery after he reassured me. My bunny passed away before the surgery even started, which was absolutely heartbreaking considering this was my first bunny that I had for 5 years and I was just trying to prolong his life. The same male veterinarian that had seen him in the pre-surgery exam told me after my bunny died that the bunny was at higher risk due to his past respiratory issues after he had previously told me straight to my face that he was at no higher risk. I am not sure about how they do with other pets, but please do not take your rabbit to this veterinarian for surgery. We had previously seen Dr. Debbie a few times and she was amazing but do not see the male veterinarian who sees exotics unless you want to be lied to.

After a horrific experience with another local bet office, My Zoo took care of my cat and even scheduled him for an emergency surgery. I especially love how they limit how many pets are in the office at one time to ensure every animal stays safe. I routinely board my cat here and they do an amazing job every time!
