How to Save Money at Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I went here two years ago for my dog’s booster shot and everything went fine, but Vetco took that as license to repeatedly spam me with no unsubscribe link and will not stop even after multiple calls to customer service. Recommend using a fake email address. Edit: A big part of why I’m annoyed is that I’ve already called the number below twice. Not including an unsubscribe link in spam emails is illegal. It shouldn’t be this hard. Just go to a different vet or use a fake email.

Vetco staff member Ashley was severely rude at this location. 100% do NOT recommend. We ran a few minutes late to our appointment, but were told that they were only 5 minute appointments and they were backed up so couldn’t see us. There were still people in line behind me and ahead of me. It seems ridiculous that if they are backed up, we have to wait, but they refuse to wait. I’ve stood in line at Vetco for an appointment that I’ve shown up to 15 minutes early for, for an hour before. The fact that I couldn’t get in for 2 quick boosters is insane to me. And the level of disrespectful behavior coming from Ashley was so unprofessional. Jo is and always is such sweetheart, and I’ve always received such kind care when she’s at the Vetco locations. We were offered a free “treat bag” for our experience. We should have been allowed to stay in line, wait our turn, and have been seen.

I have to agree with the people that felt completely "taken". I brought my very anxious dog to Vetco for vaccinations. I was greeted by a wonderful young girl at Vetco who set me up with the "perfect" package. I was told that if I paid $155.00 I could get all his needed vaccines INCLUDING the 2 boosters that I would have to come back to get in 4 weeks. I left that day feeling great about my experience. We returned in 4 weeks to find that there was no clinic. The Petco manager pretended to be just as angry as I was. After an hour trying to figure out what happened and being promised a gift card for my time... I left with nothing. I had to reschedule the boosters knowing that time was running out for the booster expiration. I came back again the next week and checked in. The very rude Vetco employee told me it would be $98.00 for the booster. WHAT??? After arguing with me for 10 minutes I asked to speak to a manager and, though I'm not a "Karen", I was livid. I took my anxious dog to the front to speak to a manager. To make a long story short...er, I was promised by Petco and 3 managers that we were a "team" and they would be sure to work with me to contact Vetco as I was told that the booster was included. I reluctantly had the booster done and was given a fake 20 percent off. I was told that the girl who said boosters were included was "mistaken" and the clinic had been cancelled the week I came for my scheduled booster with no notification. As of today, I have been ghosted by Petco and Vetco. There apparently is no "team", and I have to suck it up for all this time, cancellations, promises and inconvenience. This clinic was a joke and I huge stress for both me and my anxious dog. I didn't save any money so my advice is find a real vet and save yourself, and your pet, from all this unresolved chaos.

Vet tech Rachel was clearly terrified of animals which was evident with her high anxiety and lack of knowing how to interact with cats. When my 7 pound kitten hissed she became panicked and refused to proceed with the exam. I understand needing safety in the clinics but she was unwilling to give our kitten a moment to adjust to strange people and surroundings. We were told we would need to take out cat to the full clinic and the vaccines we paid for in the package were non transferable nor would a refund be allowed. Thankfully we found a vet at another location that was able to give the vaccines but if you have Rachel on your pet's team I would just go anywhere else.
