How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Burnsville Pet Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Burnsville animal clinic is not our regular vet (we live in Eagan and see a vet there usually), but they were very accommodating and able to squeeze in my elderly dog when he had an urgent need. I was happy with the care and attention he received and appreciative that they were available to help.

The staff and vets at Burnsville Animal Clinic are so amazing, and have helped us from the day we brought our puppy home! They have always been able to squeeze us in in an emergency, work around my messy schedule, and make sure that my pup is living her life as happily and comfortably as possible. Thank you everyone at Burnsville Animal Clinic!

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Burnsville Animal Clinic. They have been our long term vet, but recently they stepped up and took care of our Lab/mix when she ate something she shouldn’t have. They took care of her like she was their own and we are forever thankful.

The waiting area isn’t clean. Dog/cat hair all over the floors and visible dog pee on the walls. The last experience here, I had to wait over a half hour before seeing the vet. The entire time I’m holding my dog’s sample poop since the front desk never asked if I brought a sample in. The actual exam rooms were cleaner and I always love the vets/nurses here that’s the only reason for a 3 star. The front desk person always seems to leave (walking out the front door, walking into the back to talk with coworkers, etc.) I watched several people come in and have to wait for her to come back to the front so they could get checked in, pick up pills for their pet, etc. I feel bad for writing this review since the front desk lady is nice, but she doesn’t seem present most of the time and whoever should be cleaning the main area hasn’t been doing a good job. I felt nauseous sitting there for a half hour taking in the pee and wet-dog smells.

Burnsville Animal Clinic was very caring and wonderful, I felt very fortunate that they were willing to see and take care of my two cats, Scotty and Charlie. Thank you for your outstanding love of animals as that was very apparent in your approach! Warmly, John Doyle
