I have been coming to this Second Chance since it opened in 2017. I have brought all my cats here and my dog and have always had great experiences! I have gotten all my pets fixed here, shots, extensive testing for my dogs bladder issues, bloodwork, and general medications as well. The staff here is so nice and it’s always very hassle free. I love that I can refill my pets meds online and the fact that it’s low cost is amazing and ensures that I can keep up with my pets vaccines as I am low income. I always trust them here and I wouldn’t bring my pets anywhere else! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

* Update: The company has commented on this stating there is an additional charge for a cone. In my post I made it clear I paid the additional cost for said cone. Didn’t get one and when I went back to get said cone the day of the vet said “No cones.” There is no miscommunication on my end and strictly on your end at this establishment. I recently got my 7-month-old cat spayed here and overall I would give this experience a 2.5 or 3 stars. The staff is so friendly but seemed very overwhelmed, the place was packed so it makes sense. I only paid $100 for the female spay and $25 for a cone (I think) so my total was $125. They ask you about deworming and flee treatments which is so amazing. I have never had a female cat spayed before so I was nervous dropping her off and more nervous picking her up. I walked in at 3:55 and you walk into 10-15 other people all waiting for 4 pm. Then once 4 pm hits they start a little video which I was interested in because I want to make sure I do everything right for my cats after care. The video will tell you at one point if your cat is over 5.8 lbs you will get medication with your paperwork. I get in my car that’s parked all the way down the street. Parking here isn't the best so consider that when coming to and from your appointment. I looked at my paper and it said “6.0 lbs” under her weight so I panicked. I called and told them I think I need medication because my cat is 6 lbs and the video said anything over 5.8. Well, apparently the video is “outdated” ?? According to the staff member on the other line. When they start handing out the cats you kind of have to push your way through the 10-15 people also getting their cats. So after realizing the medication thing I look at her and she doesn’t have a cone? I thought that was weird because she got spayed and that involved stitches and if she licks them she gets an infection but also the receptionist at 7 am told me the $25 was a cone charge. That I paid at the time of drop off. But I was told at the pickup “No cones” so I then had to run out at 5pm with my cat that was just spayed to the nearest pet store for a cone. $50 later my girl has a cone. Overall I probably won’t bring any more of my cats here just because I don’t think it’s the best fit for me. But because of how amazing the staff was, how efficient everything went, and how amazing it is that they offer such low-cost spay and neuter services I would consider them if I ever found a stray or something like that.

Wonderful place and wonderful staff! I just had my puppy Ellie Mae spayed here and they were wonderful. This is a great place for people that are on a set income. I appreciate the fact that I can get all of my services done also at the same place. My other dog is seen at the Southbridge Clinic and they're both super awesome!

They have taken great care of my animals, however the wait-lists can be challenging we waited so long and others said they waited only days ....but I think it's more a reflection of our society and not the shelter. I've been very happy with both my cat and dogs care however! 😊

I have all 4 cats being taken care of 2nd Chance and 1 of the four had a medical issue, UTI, and I was told I would have to wait till July 25th for my cat to be seen by his vet! Today is July 15th! What happened to having emergency appointments available when needed???? I wouldn’t recommended 2nd chance to any who cares about their pets because it’s obvious they don’t care about mine!
