My pup was very sick this week. I called and was lucky there had been a cancellation and they were able to see her right away. She was given many tests, blood work was drawn and X-rays were taken. Dr. Flynn believed she knew the diagnosis, but sent her x-rays to a specialist for additional verification. We were then given an emergency referral to the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn. That will be a separate review - but they are fabulous! Had it not been for Dr. Flynn’s insight and desire to make sure my pup got the best care available; well, she might not have made it. Dr Flynn is one of those rare people who is exactly where she should be in the universe: smart, kind, compassionate and empathetic to both animals and their humans. She is extraordinary. During the afternoon and evening after we left her to go to the Emergency Hospital, she called SEVERAL times to check and see how my pup was making out and to see if I had any questions with which she could help. River Road Veterinary Hospital is lucky to have Dr. Flynn and so are the animals and their humans in the Merrimack Valley. Thank you for caring for my girl!!

I was so glad to take my senior dog to this vet. Dr. Flynn, was very thorough along with her team, in making sure I understood the procedures as far as making the right decision for my boy. All were empathetic and understood my concerns and I didn't feel rushed to express them, I was comfortable which always gives him comfort (naturally). I finally didn't feel intimidated by any staff. I felt spoken to with respect unlike past experiences with different veterinary clinics, where I very much felt talked down to, and left feeling uncomfortable at others, I felt at ease and hopeful when I walked out after our first visit.

Dr Tracey left and I thought about leaving. I met with Dr. Flynn and she was amazing! Such a nice person, wasn’t rushed and answered all my questions. She did the whole exam in front of me and you can tell she loves her job. My dog ended up needing an urgent surgery, they sent a referral over to Bulgers and Dr. Flynn even hooked me up with pet insurance. I told all of my family how impressed I was by her! She even called me on her lunch break the next day to check in on my dog. The nurses and reception staff have always been so great. I’m definitely staying at river road.

Absolutely LOVE this place and will forever be grateful to Dr. Tracy and the staff here for loving my baby boy as much as they did. I started going to here back in 2010 when I got my very first kitten on my own, until literally the week before he passed away. Binx passed away back on 02/27/22 but was loved instantly from his first appointment here. We were always treated kindly, like we were family. Binx even got the opportunity to be showcased on their brochures and flyers at the office. Dr. Tracy would always run everything that was going on with Binx or that would have to happen by me to make sure I was comfortable every visit. When he started to get sick, she went out of her way to make sure I was able to contact her with any questions or concerns. I’m so glad Dr. Tracy was able to get one last visit with my boy. She and the staff were so thoughtful to send me a card and also advised me they would give me all of Binx’s records after his passing. I have been absolutely heartbroken since he has been gone, but I wanted to make sure I acknowledged and recognized wonderful staff that helped keep my boy healthy throughout the years. Thank you guys again for absolutely everything - you support, your kindness, all of it! I hope to one day return in the future, if and when we are ready to have a new fur baby.
