Dr. Hughes and his staff are nothing short of amazing. My family and I have been bringing our pups here for about 15 years now and we’ve never once had a bad experience. Unfortunately last week we had a terrible emergency visit with another vet (NOT at ellerbe road) that left our pup very ill, but the next day Dr. Hughes was able to see her. She was taken such good care of over the next few days and I will never be able to thank everyone up there enough. We feel so blessed by the entire staffs kindness and their care for our senior girl. I know without a doubt that everyone at Ellerbe Road Animal Hospital truly cares about pets AND people.

Everyone at Ellerbe Rd Animal Hospital is wonderful! They are loving, patient and professional. We have been coming here for years and will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Hughes and all the staff are wonderful! I have taken two generations of my pets to them and they always receive great care!

Terrible service. Took my dog 3-4 times a year for checkups to make sure he was healthy. I made an appointment to check my pup out because he wasn’t sleeping and was in terrible pain. I saw the doctor and the doctor “checked” his ears, eyes, and stomach and sent us home with a stomach medicine and said “everything was fine he just had a little belly ache”. Two days later I had to rush my pup to the ER and found out it was cancer and had to have emergency surgery. 20 days later he ended up passing away.
