How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Crescent City Veterinary Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Cannot begin to say how pleased my wife and I are with Crescent City Veterinary Hospital and it’s staff. Without exception, everyone I came in contact with during the recent boarding of our lab Otis was knowledgeable, concerned and polite. It was obvious they cared about my dog, which made my time away from my buddy easier. Thank you Ned Henry and everyone at CCVH.

We love CCV! Everyone there is so kind and adores my son even though he’s a little much sometimes (read: all of the time). I can’t put into words how grateful I am for them taking care of my baby when I’m out of town. They absolutely spoil him and are so understanding of him. Not just that, they also take care to document every playgroup with adorable photos that make my day when I see them. Thank you CCV!! (Picture from CCV’s Facebook page)

The best vet I have ever been to. I moved here a few months ago with my older dog, who we believed had arthritis, and I found Crescent City vet. We began working with Dr. Newman when there was complications with her bloodwork, and while all we received was a cancer diagnosis and the knowledge that it was time to say goodbye- I am so ridiculously grateful. When I started bringing my puppy, the staff was understanding and patient with her anxiety. They always find a way to make the experience the best it can be for me and her. The doctors here treat patients with compassion, empathy, and knowledge. Appropriate care is made accessible as their rates don't break the bank. I am moving in the next two months and the hardest part is going to be finding another vet.

Kind and helpful staff! Dr. Ducoing is the best. My cat is sassy to say the least and they were gentle and patient with her. They stayed on top of the shots she needed and even trimmed her nails. Highly recommend!

As a new patient (we followed our long-time, favorite veterinarian here), we were shocked and thrilled that the staff still honored our appointment the Thursday following hurricane Ida! In addition, we received numerous follow-up calls throughout the week+ following the hurricane! We are thrilled with the service and staff!!! Thank you all!!!
