How to Save Money at VetNaturally Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I live on 30A, FL which is 4.5 hours away from VetNaturally and at the time, there weren't any holistic vet options in the local area and my 19.5 cat took a turn for the worse overnight after going to a local vet. They also didn't seem to have conclusive information about what was going on with him exactly which made me nervous to just continue to throw meds that could make him worse. I was desperate to determine if I could help him with holistic therapies or if he was suffering, then I knew I'd need to let him go. So I made the long drive with my sweet Coco and met with Jeff. He ran his labs and broke the news to me that his condition wasn't compatible with life. He was so patient as I processed what to do next and literally coached me to help me make the best decision for Coco and me which was to spend one more night with him cuddling him as much as possible and having my final moments of closure at a sweet little bed and breakfast up the street. When I brought him in the next day, Jeff was so patient and empathetic, and while it was one of the hardest moments of my life, it was a sacred time of goodbye. I drove all that way in hopes to hear better news, but it was so I could have the beautiful and supportive experience I had at VetNaturally that I could not have had anywhere else. After the appointment, they followed up with me to offer support and sent me a card with the sweetest personalized messages from all the staff. This experience was unmatched and I will be forever grateful for the experience I had here. Anyone that lives a reasonable driving distance away from here, should make this your vet. They are absolutely incredible. Eternally grateful!!

Dr. G and Dr. Jeff are truly phenomenal! They have been able to identify, treat, and help support many ailments for two of my fur babies. They have both intervened and treated critical issues that previous Veterinarians would/could not address! All the staff are kind, personable, and quickly learn and remember you and your pets’ names. VetNaturally is truly a one of a kind experience. I’m so thankful I found VetNaturally and I’m blessed to be a part of the VetNaturally experience and family!

This is an amazing veterinary clinic. Our dog is typically very anxious but really did well. She was super calm and the staff was great with her. We sought VetNaturally out at the referral of family members who use them regularly. We also wanted a more holistic approach to our dog’s healthcare needs. She’s 12 years old and we take great care to keep her healthy and strong without all the social pressures to use toxic products with her and it shows in her body 🙌🏽. Dr. Jeff was great. We had to get our dog’s rabies vax up to date due to some international RV travel and they accommodated us and gave us suggestions to help strengthen her for more healthy and strong years to come. The location was incredible because we were able to take an amazing walk on the Lakefront before and after, which also helped her have an easy time there, due to getting out any energy she may have had prior. We drove from Poplarville, MS and we would do it again. It was well worth it. The staff pampered us and made us feel very welcome and at home. Dr. Jeff spent time with us and was NOT rushed, making us feel very valued, as though we were the only ones there.

Today I took both of my babies in to see Dr. G to establish care. I have never witnessed anything so amazing in my life. My older Springer gets a little anxious at the vet. I’ve never had a vet get down on the floor and make every effort to make my dogs feel comfortable and safe. She performed acupuncture, dimmed the lights, and my oldest baby literally melted in my arms. The baby passed out on the floor. The rest of the visit she spent time providing education on nutrition, exercise, physical, and mental wellness. I’ve NEVER had a vet do that. It was not just a vet appointment. It was spa day for my babies and a much needed education session for myself. I couldn’t be more please with not only the service, but the love and extra attention my babies received today. Thank you Dr. G and staff. I am so glad we found you.
