How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Gretna Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Im only going to put a one star because I could give no stars about this place! We took our kitten here around the middle of May, they took blood works on him and then after a few days they had told us that they didn’t know what was wrong and that we just needed to give him time, then sent us home with just eye drops and a pill. This month in June we took him to Primary Veterinary Care and on the same day found out that he has Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) which is a disease that leads to them being fatal. So now we’re going to have to put him down. If we were informed this in an earlier time when we took him to Gretna Animal Hospital and they could have somewhat helped us we could’ve had a “time” to cherish his last days with us.

From the making of the appointment to the care provided, I am very pleased. JoJo has his own provider and I couldn’t be more pleased.
