How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hood Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They treat our animals like their own, and that is VERY important to me! Our golden retriever (Lexi) was boarded with them, and they called me IMMEDIATELY when they noticed something was not "as usual" with her. They tested and treated her right away to prevent any serious health issues! Very professional and personal at the same time -- so wonderful!!!

Great experience. The associates were friendly and caring. They made my dog Snowflake ❄️ feel at ease. They called to check on Snowflake the next day to see how she was doing.

We are so happy we found Hood Vet Clinic. The staff is great! Dr Moore is always amazing. She takes time to listen and answer questions I have. The techs truly love animals and want to help. When someone is providing care for your pet that is what I want. Someone who truly cares. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Willing to help when they can or take the time to find someone who can help. It isn’t the closest clinic to our home, but the reasonable prices and amazing staff make it worth a short drive.

Dr Hood and his staff have always been very helpful with the care of my dog and my family members pets as well. Whether if it’s annual checkups or short notice appointments, they’re always quick to help and extremely compassionate when needed. They have fair pricing on meds and flea prevention that can be conveniently shipped out. Plus a knowledgeable Vet and staff that can properly care for your pet.
