Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

After my 16 yr old adopted dog from the St Tammany Humane Society back in 2009 (black Lab / Shepard mix) passed away recently, I had to adopt another dog. This time a yellow lab / Huskie mix & I couldn’t be any happier, although my new puppy has some big shoes to fill after Jax, my previous adopted dog. Everything from the start of the adoption process to the spaying of her went flawlessly. Maggie the volunteer assisting me in my adoption was wonderful & calmed my fears of adopting again at a later stage in my life. I was very pleased & have always taken my dogs there for their shots and/or emergency’s. I gave them 5 star service! Attached is my new puppy Camille & the old man Jax, both adopted from the St Tammany humane Society.

A wonderful place to adopt a new forever companion! My fiancé and I adopted one of the most wonderful dogs from here and have had no regrets at all about our decision. She is just amazing! We look forward to many years napping together on big pillows with our sweet cuddle bug! I would highly recommend adopting from here. 🩷

We’ve had a decent experience here for decades, up to this year. I brought my cat yesterday for her yearly and the experience was terrible. We were in 2 minutes & tech NEVER removed her from her carrier, nor asked questions, just went to another room with carrier. 1 minute later, came back and said it’s done. Suspicious…. Didn’t even see the vet. The tech complained that our cat was upset (duh! Of course!), just an excuse to refuse trimming her nails. All they wanted to do is upsale services. It’s become a scam. Stay away.

Our first visit was last Saturday 9/23 with our new puppy. Pleasant visit; knowledgeable staff. Will return for both of my pets needs. Update! We finished our 3 new puppy visits. Dr. Greely is awesome! All of your staff are wonderful, and treat our baby (Reese) like their own! Thank you for all that you do!

Excellent! Friendly staff, and they did a great job spaying my cat with their "Catsnip" program for a great price. I highly recommend them!
