How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Bluebonnet Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Ron has been our vet for years and always has a caring nature and concern. He is also our neighbor and when we met him we knew we wanted to use him as our veterinarian. Wonderful staff as well.

I began taking my pups to Dr. Ron in 1991 and have never been to any other veterinarian since. Ron and his staff are always very accommodating and treat my pups like their own. Ron has spent countless hours over the years explaining every illness, procedure, and possible outcome to me. My pups stay there when I’m out of town because I know that they are safe and well taken care of. I wouldn’t take my furry kids anywhere else!!

Dr. Ron is the best! So accommodating and always puts me and my little fussy dog at ease. I’ve taken my dog to many vets in Baton Rouge and they are all good but no one can beat Dr. Ron.

Dr. Ron and his staff are wonderful. They have worked our pets into their busy schedules many times on very short notice, and always happy to do so. We met Dr. Ron when he worked at the pet emergency hospital, where he saved our beloved Akitas life. We're so thankful for everything he has done. Prices have been very reasonable. Everyone in the office is friendly, and seems to really love what they do and whom they do it for. Happy to be a loyal client and even happier for our cherished animal family!

This is the best hospital! I love how you can go to the back and you see everything going on with your animals. Dr. Ron is so genuine and loves to educate his clients about anything and everything you are curious about. He’s super personable and does thorough check ups. I wouldn’t trust my pets with any other doctor!
