How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Countryaid Vet Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.

Breed Specific Health Considerations

Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

I will be having my dog boarded here for about 2 weeks in July while we go on vacation. I wanted to check the place out first before we leave. We got alot of our questions answered. Me and my husband are happy with this place. With that being said we may also change vets when we get back from our vacation.

took my dog in to see what was wrong with her because she hadn’t eaten in a few days and was only drinking water and the vet was rude from the jump. all he did was give her a deworming pill and check her temperature and said to give her a few days, that cost us $50. the next morning she passed away. we called them and the vet still blamed it on us and was super disrespectful. the lady that answered the phone was super sweet and nice but the vet was straight up rude and very judgmental. i don’t recommend them AT ALL.

We took my dad's mini Aussi up with a scratched eye. Mr regier was fast and knowledgeable. He gave us some drops and was out in 10 min, the pup didn't lose an eye luckily. "it was really hazed over" Cost wise I want to say a little bit cheaper than some of the places in eldorado, but it's not like I go in for scratched puppy eyes evey week lol😄.

He saved my bloodhounds life!!!! Forever grateful. Could not get any other vet to respond to an urgent need that my pet had. Thank you so much. Thank you to whoever answered the phone yesterday, you said exactly what I needed to hear.
