Riverstone Animal Hospital is simply exceptional at what they do. A family member referred me here after hearing how much we paid for normal procedures at our original vet's office in Belleville (she worked there in high school). Riverstone serves farm animals as well as household pets, but I'm still not sure how they can afford to charge SO much less than several local veterinarian offices. Not only does my wallet hurt less for going to Riverstone, but there's absolutely no quality sacrificed- it's just the opposite. Most recently, we brought in our puppy for his first vet visit and shots. We asked ahead of time if we could bring our other dog so the puppy felt comforted. They were totally accommodating, let us bring both dogs in, and put us in a larger room with a window so it didn't feel so cramped. Not only was the puppy comforted by having her sister there; but our older dog had a positive experience complete with treats, good scratchins, and no shots- hopefully leaving her with a better impression of the vet. Heather and Dr. Julie cared for our pup on our most recent visit and both were very knowledgeable, caring, informative, and professional in their service. Our family is confident that we're receiving the best care at Riverstone. The space is clean and efficient, and even offers some extra nice touches that make Riverstone stand out from their competition. Outside the front door is a space where pet parents can pick up prescriptions (I think they started this during covid to minimize interactions), beautiful flowers bordering the front door, a coffee and tea station fully equipped with a Keurig and mini fridge fully stocked with water bottles (I enjoyed one of my favorite drinks while waiting for the vet to come back), and an Alexa device to play your choice of music in the room.

From the moment I walked in to the time I walked out, all staff members were extremely kind and welcoming. They took great care of my cat, and I can already tell he’s feeling better with treatment.

We love Dr. Shannon and Dr. Miki! Both are extremely knowledgeable. I always feel they take my concerns into consideration when deciding on a course of treatment. The office staff is very helpful and friendly. Every visit has been a pleasant experience.

Took my dog today to his first vet appointment at this particular animal hospital. Was wanting to find a permanent vet for him and they blew it out of the water. The staff are super friendly and professional. The way they conduct their business from my experience is comfortable and helps ease the stress of vet visits. Loved the Doctor, techs, and assistants that helped us and answered any and all questions I had. They cared about my dog and didn’t just try to push more on me to get more money. This will be my dogs permanent vet from now on. Thanks for the great first visit.

Saved my kitten with surgery the same day we took her in. My vet held her for 2 days... They also fit her in for a minor complication a week later when my vet couldn't fit her in. Everyone was professional and sympathetic. Glad I know where to go if needed again.
