How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Pet Vet Animal Clinic & Mobile Practice

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Pet Vet Docs are professional and knowledgeable. I always feel that I am in good hands. The staff are friendly, patient and helpful. — Thanks to all of you!

It seems they have a high turnover in both vets and assistants. I sometimes feel that they look more at how to keep pets coming back for tests ($$) instead of thinking about what they are putting pets through. I want to give benefit of the doubt, and I'm still assessing this, but I feel sometimes my pet gets put through quite a bit, and I wonder who it's in the interest of. I don't like posting negative reviews, but I also know we live in a community where a lot of residents are in fixed incomes so I just want to say be a educated as you can be about your pets health so you can be thier advocate, and to do your best to know if a test seems unnecessary, or meds for that matter. Nice staff, but seems like everytime I go in, which is quite often, I see new staff, never get the same tech twice, and have seen at least 5 different vets in last 8 years.

All three VETS and Techs at Pet Vet are very caring, understanding, supportive and so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend each of them for your pets needs! My Bocce-Ball has had several medical issues that aren't the norm, and they have been wonderful in his treatment, follow-up and recommending Dr. Harrington (Internal Specialist) as part of his fantastic medical team over the past year. They do an amazing job with follow-up, especially if you have any concerns or to check on your pets progress with his treatment. They communicate wonderfully with you and with your Specialist. The front staff is also so nice and efficient. I am so happy they were recommended to us 18+ months ago!! Thank you Pet Vet!
