Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

As my husband was finishing up A school in late February, he got orders with a 2 weeks notice to move to VA. I called the base vet in a panic because we were moving into Military housing and needed 10 day health certificates on all (4) of our animals. Nowhere else had any appointments to accommodate us. These amazing people (specifically Dr. Lovell) accommodated us more than we could ever ask for. They even did a wellness check on my Green Winged macaw, and my Conure because we were in such a pinch. I cannot thank them enough for helping us when we couldn’t get in with our exotic vet. We also had rabies done on our cat and dog. With a total of 4 animals, the total came out to be $250.00. The staff is amazing, the prices are amazing, we really are eternally grateful for this team.

Great staff with a clean facility. Very reasonable with pricing and very knowledgeable staff members. I trust them completely and highly recommend coming here. I have two dogs and they both love coming to see the vet and that is saying something. If you are at great lakes naval station, do not go to any other vet.
