How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Evergreen Park Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Great vet, and seasoned, careing staff !! Have been going to for many years. Dr. H may seem a little "Dry", but knows his stuff !! 😄 Would highly recommend. 🏅

We have been taking our dogs here for years, but after the last visit, after my one dog was misdiagnosed, I decided to bring her over to Bevlab in Blue Island. Not only is she more comfortable there, they're very professional and compassionate, unlike the doctors at Evergreen. The one doctor, an older guy, has ZERO compassion for animals, by the end of her visit, she was scared to death. He not only misdiagnosed her as well, but he wanted to do the surgery right then and there! After going to Bevlab, we were told she only needed to lose a few pounds, and once she did so, she seems happy and healthy, and I was told surgery was unnecessary! He was willing to charge us for something that was unneeded! Please, don't bring your beloved pets here.

Both times my mother and I have gone here with our cat and dog, we felt very rushed. They don't really do a thorough check up. I asked them to do a check up, along with the heartworm test. All vet did was take her blood and ask how she was doing and had her weighed. Didn't look in her ears, eyes, listen to her heart, nothing. Very unimpressed.
