How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Best Friends Vet Care
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Staff is sweet, caring and over all great, the doctor is very knowledgeable and not pushy when it comes to pet treatment. They listen to my worries and I can just call and get an appointment or just pick up a prescription fast and easy. Puppy Approved.

Just wanted to share this..my 88 year old Mother in law called them Saturday because her 15 year old little dog was having labored breathing and hadn't been doing very well, and the receptionist told her they were busy that day ...she was very cold, made no other suggestions, didn't even bother going to ask the Dr. if they could fit her in some how..just told her they were busy..So I made a call to that receptionist , I told her how old my Mother in law was and how old the dog was and possibly needed to be put down and I couldn't believe how she acted and talked to my elderly Mother in law. This dog has been going to this Vet since she was a puppy. I couldn't believe how uncaring and cold hearted she was. She said that is how it goes in the medical field. I told her no it isn't. I have worked in the medical field for years and few different Vets I go to myself, with all the different kinds of animals I have, and never have I been treated with such coldness as this receptionist treated me and my Mother in law. Someone like her doesn't need to be working in a place like that. I just couldn't believe how cold she was no sympathy, uncaring. I wouldn't take my Rooster to this place with someone like her working there. Much nicer and much better places to go then this place. That Vet is the only place that dog has ever been, and her last day should end at that Vets. Shame on you receptionist. If you have an emergency with your fur baby, forget this place. This is not the place for you. Follow up- Office manager called and she was more worried about me cursing her receptionist at the end of our conversation then the old dying dog ..She didn't give a rat's behind about my Mother in Law or her old dog..If you have an emergency with your pet, forget this place..this is not the place for you. Beware! You been warned. Manager didn't even ask about the old dog, so what does that tell you. Sure tells me a lot. Best Friends my foot. Wrong name for this business!!!!

If all you ever need is scheduled appointments, they are good. If you have emergencies or your fur baby has something questionable going on and needs seen day-of, forget it. When my dog had a foreign body in his rectum, and when he was limping I was told "we don't have any appointments today". I moved my records elsewhere. Our furbabies are far too important to be put on the back burner .

They are so nice and accommodating! I also love how they treat my baby, Rickey! And their Business Sign always has the funniest and most clever sayings!
