I would give less stars if possible. The vet here is extremely rude. They wanted to drug our dog in order to come in and be seen. When speaking with the vet, I was attempting to explain why I disagreed with their order and I was abruptly cut off and yelled at.

Not real animal hospital. Had an emergency with the dog who got bitten. Half of her head was swollen and have a fever, suspecting infection. They had an empty lobby. Told me they are full, and i might try my luck calling another location. Where is the sense of urgency when something serious happens? Where is love for animals? They are regular vet office not caring at all.

We have 4 dogs and I couldn’t speak more highly of how Dundee Animal Hospital cares for them. The dogs actually love going to see the doctors and techs! They have 3 locations and one that’s emergency and open 24/7 in case you need special care (which we have) and the rates remain the same, which is unheard of. We have been to all 3 locations and can say that all the doctors truly care about the animals and the facilities are so clean. Definitely recommend.

An exam fee is over $150, not including any tests or treatments. They do not reduce the fee for checkups on ongoing or chronic health issues. If the treatment prescribed by the vet does not work, they expect you to come in every few weeks and pay the full fee plus any additional costs. They do not review your pet's records before the visit. The vet (O'Brien) also did not remember what tests she had already performed on my dog. She also gave my 30-lb dog, who had a chronic yeast infection, multiple pupperoni treats without asking me first. Pupperoni is high in sugar, which can exacerbate yeast infections. Further, whe threw the treats at my dog's face, and didn't stop after my dog didn't catch them. If you pay a premium, you should get premium service. This clinic charges a premium for mediocre service. I spent over $1,000 of my family's combined $30k to treat my dog's allergies, rashes, and infections. Their attitude toward low-income clients is also incredibly patronizing and unprofessional. Other local vets charge closer to $75 for an exam, and some charge $50 or less. You can use Uber Pet for less than $20 one way (excluding tip) if you don't have a car.
