How to Save on Veterinary Costs at The Animal Doctor
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Dan made a trip to our home at Priest Lake just so we could give our sweet Maggie a calm and peaceful goodbye. It meant so much to us that she was able to spend her final moments in the place that she loved surrounded by the ones who loved her. We are blessed to have such a caring Vet to look after our pets.

Called for emergency with my dog and was told , not excepting new patients at this time so good luck with your dogs health. Told me to call around town . Too small of company and only 1 vet. What a joke. My animals deserve better and so do yours.

This was our first visit here ever. Just in the nick of time too as Eileen (our Mastiff Dane) is due to have her pups any day! We were promptly greeted by friendly staff. The waiting room is divided into two on each side of the entrance door. Everything was clean and uncluttered. It was a no muss-no fuss visit with no hard sells. We had an x-ray taken to try to determine how many puppies (10-12) but it would have been nice to be shown the x-ray. Upon check-out, we were pleasantly surprised neither one of us had to give up any limbs in order to pay the bill! I will post another update in about a month when we go back for a second visit with her brother Duke!

The Animal Doctor staff and Dr. Karen have seen all our pets and we would highly recommend them! Dr. Karen recently took care of our foster pup on short notice and repaired her sutures and placed a drain that was much needed! Dr. Karen and the staff are always great about follow up phone calls and explaining care. Thank you!
