How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Snake River Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Needed vet care and tried repeatedly to reach someone. They are no longer in business. Don't waste your time calling. This website should be updated. There is no vet in the building. We found a now hiring sign in one of the pictures and called. They only offer grooming.

Dr. Bob and his whole staff are Wonderful! They have treated all of my fur babies for years with kindness and care. Most recently my lab had to have a toe removed due to cancer. The whole team is awesome. Thank you.

Would not allow me in the exam room with my dog. So I went to another vet. My 5 yr old lab has a small lump on his under belly. I do not recommend this place, too many red flags. No stars.

‼️WOULD GIVE 0 stars if I could ‼️ I took my 10 month old puppy in because she wasn’t acting okay, throwing up, crying, plus more symptoms that I explained to them from my car, cause they don’t allow you in. About 20 minutes later, they bring her out with nausea meds and say she has a clean bill of health. I insisted that something was wrong, so they took her back in and did X-rays that cost me $189, plus $100 for the meds and the check up. We ended up having to take her in the next day because she was getting worse. They kept her for a few hours and gave her more meds and sent us home with another $200 bill, and we still didn’t know what was wrong w her. Once the weekend passed we took her to sawtooth vet, and after a few hours, and them actually doing their jobs, they found out she is going through kidney failure. ‼️If SNAKE RIVER WOULD HAVE DONE THEIR JOBS, my puppy would have had a much larger chance to make it, but 5 days passed after we took her in the first time before we knew what was actually going on. So, now my dog is in the vet for 5 days on fluids trying to survive because of the incompetence at snake river vet. ‼️If you want your pet to live, and not spend $500 for nothing DO NOT GO TO SNAKE RIVER VET CLINIC.
