How to Save on Veterinary Costs at North Liberty Pet Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I hate leaving a bad review because the business has always been accommodating but I was in for an emergency visit for my cat and out in the waiting room there was a vase full of Lillies. Lillies are extremely poisonous for cats and they are also bad for dogs. To have out in the waiting room of a vets office seems to be the most insensitive careless version of patient care and being aware of surroundings. I even asked the receptionist what kind of flowers they were and she confirmed they were Lillies…. Like?!?! So confused.

I have been taking my 2 dogs to North Liberty Pet Clinic for the past year now after our previous vet closed. They have been very accommodating taking us on as new clients. The staff are very friendly and professional. The vets and vet techs always do a great job of spending time with our dogs during visits and letting them warm up to them with lots of treats.

We recently had to make a very difficult decision to let our 17 year old pup transition to the doggy promised land. The staff at North Liberty Pet Clinic were so very helpful and professional all the while dealing with the strains a winter storm places on a business. We are forever grateful that our baby had the best last moments surrounded by the people who loved her most in a very comfortable and soothing environment. Thank you for making this gut wrenching time bearable.

Dr. Shannon and the team at North Liberty Pet Clinic saved my dogs life, About 9 years ago my dog was unresponsive in his crate, got him in and was in a full blown Addison’s attack, Dr. Shannon diagnosed him, daily pill and a shot once a month has gotten him to his soon to be 12th birthday. Staff are always great, Dr. Shannon very caring, Dr. Shields bed side manner isn’t the best, that’s the only negative.
