How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Shannon Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

This place is horrible as long as doc shannon is in there. It has been a week amd I'm still waiting on the emergency number to call me back regarding my very sick dog!! Which in the long run my dog passed away thanks to this wonderful vet who dodmt return calls. I did find one however that was amazing and did all they could to try to save him. What is the point of an emergency number if it goes directly to voicemail and no one calls back? Sickening!!!! I don't want even 1 star on here but it makes me.

Bill has been our vet for years. Always there when needed. And will not take my animals to anyone else. Hes the best. He has vaccinated all our animals and has always been honest and caring with us.

I've had 4 animals throughout the past 9 years seen here. 3 cats and 1 dog fixed here and also one of my 3 cats de-clawed. All my pets have had their vaccinations here throughout the years as well. They are all happy healthy animals, Great service!

It was a year ago or so but i took my cat over to get her fixed and i honestly expected a big scar like one of my cats. But amazingly it was actually quite small! I'm gladd took her here!

Truly amazing. Visited this poor excuse for a vet with my dying cat. Somehow it went from probable rabies to him screaming at me because i didn't have the money to drive 70 miles to Iowa City. Called my husband in tears and while I was on the phone he continued to yell about how he wasn't responsible and that I had no choice, I had to go to Iowa City. Now I'm at home with a dying cat and as far as this jerk is concerned I have no options, I cannot take my kitty anywhere. And maybe I don't have any options, but aren't vets supposed to care about animals and animal lovers? He made what was already a miserable, sad day into something altogether unbearable. Stay away from this sad human at all costs.
