How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Countryside Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I went to the nearest clinic to have my dog euthanized. Their schedule was full & couldn't give me 5 min. I went to Countryside. They helped me throughout the procedure and showed me the love and compassion that my Hemi deserved. Thank you so very much.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who loves their pets. The bigger male, so called vet isn’t friendly. Didn’t check my dogs teeth after informing him that he has an abscess. Had to go to another vet with Experience. Minorities should run from this place.

Took our pug there, she had a mass on her leg, he said "no problem but we may have to amputate ". We were ok with that. However, when they called us to pick her up a day early, they said the surgery was a success and no amputation needed. We were so excited. We go to pick her up, they were more concerned about the $100 that we owed yet that they were extremely rude. We had no problem paying, we were just waiting for my sister to get there with the $100. Once they were paid, they brought Gracie out to us, she was still out of it from the anesthesia. We drove back to Cedar Rapids, and she died about 4 hours later. When we called them, they said to dig her up from the ground and bring her back so they could examine her. Really? We did have another vet look at her and he informed us that she bled to death internally and that they cut an artery. Upon talking to them, there was never any remorse or apology. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!
