How to Save on Veterinary Costs at University Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Thank you to the whole team. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. There's been a few times when I've had to do everything remotely, and they made it very easy. Plus, all my animals (mostly spooky) love everyone there and are such happy campers.

I love the veterinarian Dr.Wolfe. The customer service with the front desk isn't the greatest. My dog is almost 2 years old, and his picture still hasn't been updated to a current photo, not even on his shot record card. The groomers questioned if it's really him that his current shot card represents. Very disappointed..

Dr. Wolfe and his staff are amazing. They are empathetic and kind and take amazing care of our dogs. Both of our dogs have had surgical procedures performed by Dr. Wolfe, which went well and healed without complication. If Dr. Wolfe believes a surgery may be beyond his scope of practice, he will say so and refer you accordingly, which I respect and appreciate. Also, my dogs practically trample me to get out of the car when we pull into the parking lot; they love coming to the vet! Highly recommend.

The Staff at University Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing people. I moved to Florida about a year ago and will drive back to Georgia just for my dog to have her appointments here. There is no other group of people I would trust more with my animal. Dr. Wolfe is a straight shooter, and has always been honest and up front when it comes to taking care of my Layne. The girls up front always try to find ways to save you money on medicines with rebates, and will sometimes call just to check in! Would not recommend anyone else!

Been taking my dogs there for probably 10-12 yrs now, Doc Wolf is very knowledgeable and down to earth, doesn't try to talk down to you or make things hard to understand. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and most importantly, great with our loved ones.
