How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Island Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Our sweet dog stayed five nights at Island Animal Hospital and loved it. She was so well taken care of. We knew she would be excited to see us, but we also felt like she had had a good time. Everyone in the front office and the back that work with the animals all seem so very nice. Will use them again. We used a private kennel before we decided to go to the vet's for overnight stays and love it much more than the private one.

We love Island Animal Hospital. Everyone on staff is always so helpful and friendly. I have called several times looking for a last minute appointment when my dog has become suddenly ill and they have always been to accommodate me. They always call and check on my dog after a visit. I feel like they really care and enjoy seeing my dog. I highly recommend them!

The office scheduled us same day for health issues our mature dog was experiencing. Dr. Phillips does an amazing job treating our dog without unnecessary tests and procedures. The staff follows up the day after the appointment to see how treatments are going. Amazing all the way around!

This is the only veterinarian clinic I would take my pets to. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Sam, the technician, was so sweet and gentle with my skittish dogs and Dr. Phillips was incredibly knowledgeable and caring. Just an outstanding experience!!!
