How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Savannah Veterinary Medical Center

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My cat, Pelle, has been going to Dr. Mulvey for five years. Dr. Mulvey and his staff are great. I can easily say that I trust them with caring for Pelle and my dog, Max.

My first time there and my experience was great. Doctor Mallory and her assistant were awesome. They took very good care of my dog. They took time to answer all questions. What a nice relaxing environment.

We have two dogs and a cat we take here. Everyone is absolutely wonderful every time. Recently our older dog got very sick and had to be let go. Through the whole process everyone was so kind. Dr. Mallory was so gracious and helpful through his last month.

I have had a friend take there dog here and the service and treatment was awesome. Wish I could have gotten my dog There but went to the nearest Urgent Care Vet next to B&D on abercorn. Fatal mistake! I told them he had ate poisonous mushrooms and they didn't treat that. Four hours later I got a $920.bill and still they said they Didn't have a brain "clue what Was wrong. And it would be $2300. To do more test. I left to go to another 24 hour vet but he didn't make it because they didn't treat him for the pp poisonous mushrooms. By the way you can't give a review to that Urgent Care Vet in front of Lowe's!

I really love the team here. Every time I walk out I have peace of mind about my dog Louie. They ask vital questions, so I can consider preventative care for him.
