How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Midtown Mutts Veterinary Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Receptionist greeted us warmly and she's very nice. The veterinarian assistant was patient and friendly with my dog which really appreciate. I liked how the atmosphere felt there. Very comfortable. Dr. Katherine is great with my dog, Bear and you can tell that she loves helping animals. I recommend taking your fur baby here.

Dr Oshetski and her entire team is top notch. They provided professional, kind, compassionate care for our cat in his final days. They kept us updated multiple times a day via email, text, and calla, kept us informed, and most importantly, kept things realistic and honest regarding his condition in order to make the most humane and respectful decision for him in his final days. I am eternally grateful that Rico was in the Muttley Crue's care in his final days, he was treated wonderfully and we will never forget it. I couldn't recommend this clinic more.

If you live near dowtown, Ardsley, Midtown, Parkside, or anywhere in between, this is the perfect location! If location was everything, this would be all you need, but the staff at Midtown Mutts is truly amazing, friendly, and caring. Dr. Steadley has been patient and kind. She answers all of my endless questions with grace and doesn’t try to rush me out of the room. She’s a great vet and someone I would trust my human children with if she could treat them. Could not recommend them more highly.

The best. I don’t know what we would have done without Dr. Steadly when our Rose had diabetes. She was always available, always willing to listen, and constantly there for us when Rose came down with pneumonia and suddenly passed. She’s remained consistently resilient with our current dog’s lupus diagnosis, always willing to look into new avenues of care and to make suggestions as we find things that work best for our specific case. The new clinic is so conveniently located (right by the dog park!) with ample parking and a welcoming ambiance. Everyone there has been so nice and it’s reassuring knowing how many services can be done right at the clinic. Being only 5 minutes from our house also puts me at ease with a dog who suffers from travel anxiety! I’m thrilled to have this experienced vet so close to us now!
