How to Save Money at Animal Emergency Care of Braselton
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This was the only nearby place open on Memorial Day when I had an unexpected accident with my pup, and I’m so thankful for that. I truly appreciate that you remained open during the holiday, without you, I would’ve been worried all night. Your prices were also more affordable than other clinics I’ve visited, which I’m incredibly grateful for. I had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend your emergency care to others. My only concern was that the kind vet tech who helped carry my Dachshund didn’t seem familiar with the proper way to lift this particular breed. As many Dachshund owners know, their fragile spines require careful handling supporting both the chest and rear. My pup became visibly uncomfortable when he was lifted only by the chest and started squirming. I hope this can be used as a learning opportunity and shared with the staff for future reference. Please be mindful when handling Dachshunds or any breed with known sensitivities. Thank you again for your service and care!

10 Stars if they would allow it .Couldn't ask for a more carrying bunch of individuals was a privilege meeting each and every one of them today even though the circumstances were not the best. had to have a 17 year family member laid to rest there today. The staff were very compassionate and caring in my pets final moment. Even catering to my little different then usual final last request for my friends final moments to be outside in the sun and the air in the grass on his bed and they took it with the utmost sincerity without hesitation. And for that I am forever grateful. Thank you and to all like you that hold a deer place in your hearts for the animals God bless from the Harrison family

Very personable staff. Came in with my dog on a holiday weekend. From the front staff members to the veterinarian, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The facility is new with spacious parking and clean. They are moderately priced and worth the cost.

Dr. Amy and her staff from 1/5 were incredibly kind, compassionate and quick to treat my dog who was mauled by a coyote. They saved his life and shaved him, flushed his wounds, sutured/stapled his punctures and also gave him drains where needed (4). He is lucky to be alive, and will have a speedy recovery thanks to the quick work of Dr. Amy. I am so happy with his progress. I can’t thank you enough for what you did to save my dear Mosby.

God bless these people. From the gentleman when I first brought April in,and how kind & understanding he was and team,to how they comforted her & me, until I see her again. When picking her private cremation package (late on my part), I was floored on the extra mile they went, and even before the card, they sent my home right after I dropped her off. The worker Kaitlyn was right at the door, right as I pulled up & was so comforting & cool to talk with! She was super genuine, & I just really appreciate it,Thank you, Kaitlyn, and thank you all for everything!!! :)
