How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Northlake Veterinary Surgery
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Eddie just had his TPLO surgery at Northlake and they were absolutely amazing!! Eddie is a reactive dog and very particular about being poked and prodded. The staff at Northlake went above and beyond to create a plan for this to be the best possible experience for Eddie from intake to discharge. They made sure we knew they wanted this to be as calm as possible for Eddie to make sure he doesn’t think the vet is a scary place. He’s 3 days post op and recovering so well!! They know what they’re doing!

Our girl, Aurora, 'Graduated' today from her TPLO surgery. She is happily running and playing again. Dr Coleman was everything you could hope for - skilled, detailed and very caring. All the staff were professional and kind from beginning to end and they all work smoothly together. While I hope we never have to see them again, if any of my dogs need orthopedic surgery, I know where we'll go. Thank you NVS !

We are currently sitting at 4 days post op on Winnie's double TPLO surgery. Norhlake has been nothing but great to us! They respond immediately to any questions and have been available at all times. Her surgeon, Dr. Coarse has been very helpful in explaining things thoroughly and calmly at every step. She is now up and slowly able to walk around the backyard on her own. She is not whimpering in pain and has started to get some of her personality back! Cannot reccomend this team enough from what I've seen!

Incredibly grateful for this team. My little girl, a mixed breed who is five, needed ACL surgery. A coworker recommended Dr. Kevin. Azra (hope I’m spelling that correctly), Dr. Kevin, Nurse Katie, and Rob were extremely kind/attentive. They answered my questions/concerns every step of the way (I was stressed out). We went in for our two month check up and my Sophīa is doing great! Thank you.

Compassionate, kind, and highly skilled. My dog tore her CCL and needed TPLO surgery. Finding out your beloved pet needs surgery is scary, but everyone at Northlake is extremely thorough and warm. Dr. Corse did a wonderful job of explaining the procedure and responding to my concerns and questions. Being able to reach out after surgery, either through the office or the after-hours line, really decreased my anxiety about the intensive healing process. My pup is now 3 months out and everything has been healing great. She is getting back to her regular routine and, most importantly, her quality of life has improved exponentially. To everyone at NVS... thank you from the bottom of my heart! Edit: We’re now about 1 year out from the surgery and my pup has healed wonderfully. You’d never know that she had ever torn her CCL, she’s back to bouncing, hiking, and running just like she used to. I’m so pleased with the quality of her care and will always be grateful to this clinic for increasing her quality of life tenfold.
