How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Petworks Cat Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We have been cat parents for over 30 years, and Dr. Hughes has proven to be the most knowledgeable veterinarian we have had the pleasure of dealing with. Your pet's health and quality of life are her top priority. At each appointment, she takes the time to explain the science and medical diagnosis of what she is observing about the health of your pet. She will recommend the appropriate testing for the cat and explains what the test results will tell her to assist in establishing a diagnosis. In certain situations, she may recommend additional testing by another veterinary professional. In our experience, the testing was always necessary to arrive at the accurate diagnosis. Pricing for veterinary services was always reasonable. Most of all Dr. Hughes, her vet tech Danielle and her staff member Michelle, have the biggest hearts that any cat parent could ask for. Each are three of the most compassionate human beings who we have ever met. The residents of the Venice FL area are very fortunate to have Dr. Hughes practicing veterinary medicine for cats and pocket pets.

As everyone else has said, Dr Robin is the best Vet I’ve ever been to. It IS a quiet, wonderful atmosphere. No loud noise or dogs barking and the staff and the care is superb. I asked Chiquita if she felt better and the pic says it all. 😸
