How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Keene Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love Dr. Boneville. Been going to them for over 20 years. I trust him with all my babies. He loves animals and does everything he can to help. Dr. Boneville is a kind, sweet man who loves what he does.

It was our first visit to visit Dr Keene, as our former veterinarian retired. It was clean, and everyone was pleasant. Dr. Keene was great. He checked out my furbaby thoroughly. Listened to her history and gave me suggestions on how to get her to take medicines in the future. All in all, it was a great visit, and we will continue to go to Keene Veterinary Hospital.

As long as you're going for routine check ups and nothing is wrong with your pet, you should be good. However, if you know your pet pretty well, and you know something is "off", they will likely take thier opinions over yours, even if you know your animals better than anyone else. They are always very busy, so if you call, expect to be put on hold and if you're an advocate for your pets health, go elsewhere where you will be listened to more seriously.

The whole crew at Keene vet feel like family. My family raises Maine Coons and both English and French bulldogs and we could not do it without them. They are so kind and healthful in any situation and always happy to see you. They've delivered our puppies and helped us in so many ways! They have decades and decades of experience between the 3 vets and the techs are all so helpful and knowledgeable as well. I've moved an hour away and still go to Keene!
