How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Plantation Animal Hospital and Emergency Care
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

The dr was great, but I don't like that they still examine the dog without you and didn't go back to being in the examination room with you and pet after covid.

The staff is very kind & will always work with your availability/schedule. Dr. Rudinski explains every situation very thoroughly as if it were his own pet. We are lucky to have a great spot in the neighborhood to take our senior pup.

Our 100# German Shepherd was limping badly, clearly had an injury & infection in his right front foot. Dr. Long and her staff were WONDERFUL, very professional and caring, and Ralf got the best care. I requested they muzzle him bc his foot was so sore to touch and they needed to be safe while checking him. They were gentle and he did very well. He is on day #2 of meds and soaking in epsom salts 10 min daily, and he’s feeling so much better. I am so thankful they were there to help Ralf. Thank you!

My Chihuahua has had a bad cough. We tried our regular vet they could not see him for a month or two. I dropped by Plantation Hospital to ask if they take walk in. A nice lady say yes and we got an appointment the next day. Staff was very helpful taking care of our little dog. Look forward using there service from know on.

I’d leave negative stars if I could. To sum it up: Just to LOOK at the infection on my sweet, doggo’s front, right, paw, Dr. Rudinski & staff were demanding that she be MUZZLED & SEDATED (to the level used for surgery). They weren’t even going to weigh her 1st! Horrifying! And I couldn’t stop crying. This was after waiting almost 2 weeks for this appt, too!. I didn’t agree to their terms, of course, & left. I invite you to come meet this 8 year-old rescue that they, with all their supposed education & experience deemed “dangerous.” My husband, David, & I, with our sweet, Shera, are at The Breakfast Station restaurant, right next door, at least twice a week, every week. She’s the German-Shepherd mix laying at our feet with the really, pretty face. Meet her. Then I promise you, you’ll question the judgment & competence of Plantation Animal Hospital.
