How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.

Whoever checked us in, was scared of my pitbull and asked us if we wanted a private room to wait in?? She didn’t want to get near my dog and that’s unacceptable to me. We ended up in a waiting room on our own that was dirty, used as a storage room and had a ton of dog/cat hair. My dog is a sweetheart, she doesn’t show aggression or bark at other dogs… and if you are scared of dogs you shouldn’t be working with them. It was almost discrimination towards my dog’s breed and I wasn’t happy with that. AT ALL. These dogs get enough of a bad rap as it is, when I get her the care she needs, there shouldn't be someone attending her like she’s a monster. Also, I had to administer one of her own medications. My dog is very anxious and they made her wear a muzzle and couldn’t give her the oral medication on their own. Also a physical examination was charged and not provided. One of the first questions was is she’s ever worn a muzzle ? It was a strange experience, I didn’t feel like my dog was cared for and I won’t be returning unfortunately. I’ve been here two other times, and this was the third and last time.

This was the first PETCO Vet visit I scheduled where 4 people had the same time appointment. Small waiting area made it difficult for some pets. The vet and her tech that was helping her were excellent.

Giving the PetCo Mobile clinic 5 stars. They come to this location once a month and the Veterinarian is very friendly, so funny and treated my dog like it was her own. The techs and assistants were nice too. ZERO stars for the regular clinic or vet that closed without notice and is nowhere to be found with my vet records.

Brought my dog for simple blood work to test his liver condition was told I should do a full panel of tests and charged $540. Over 6 weeks have passed and several phone calls asking for results and still have yet to receive the test results or a call from vet as promised several times. Had to go to another vet for testing was charged less the $150 for same tests and got results in 3 days. I disputed charge with credit card for lack of providing service paid for. I won’t return or recommend this place. Vet seems more interested in fleecing you for money than your pets health.

I had my puppy's nails done and she needed an extraction. They were real nice and called me the next day to see if everything was OK.
