How to Save on Veterinary Costs at St Francis Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Best vet clinic around! I was recommended this clinic from some family friends and I have absolutely nothing but wonderful things to say. The place is clean and cute, the staff treats you/your pet like family, the prices are super affordable, and the care they give your pet is optimal. I’ve been bringing my little guy Achilles here since he was born and they have genuinely been the most amazing place I could have found! They genuinely build such a connection with your pet/family that makes you feel 100% comfortable going in. 10/10.

Dr. Mesa is an outstanding veterinarian! He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate with both pets and their owners. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure my pet was comfortable throughout the entire visit. You can tell he genuinely cares and goes above and beyond. The clinic is clean, the staff is friendly, and scheduling was easy. I highly recommend Dr. Mesa to anyone looking for excellent care for their furry family members!

Great attention and service from all personnel! They make the first vet evaluation of our dog at no cost, including fecal and heart worm test. They just charged the biohazard disposal fee ($10) and sold me the preventive heart worm treatment I asked for. Thanks to Ulises and Betty.

I went here in February and was going to keep my experience to myself but after I called back to ask a question about a heartworm preventative, the lady who I spoke to had so much attitude and I decided I cannot keep this to myself. We were seen an hour and 15 minutes after the original appointment time. They charge $30 for a “consultation” which was just the male veterinarian sticking his hand through the door to have my dog smell him. He said “I don’t trust it” to my pitbull mix who hadn’t moved a muscle and was just wagging her tail. He made me put a muzzle on her which had her shaking and crying, to which he responded by telling me to “make the muzzle tighter”. I took it off of her myself and left immediately afterwards. I have never been treated with such disrespect from a pathetic excuse of a veterinarian. If you are scared of a certain breed of dog then you absolutely not be in this be in this field. Disgusting.
