How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Emerald Coast Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We have rescued 2 pups in the last year. Emerald Coast Animal Hospital works with the rescue that we utilized. Our pups had a rough start but EC was amazing and took excellent care of them. They are kind, informative, and patient. We kept them as our vet...even though it is an hour drive. Thank you so much EC for loving on Buggy and Rawley!

Thankful we found ECAH and changed our vet! The staff is wonderful and super organized. Most importantly, they didn’t treat my large dog like he was overly aggressive which meant my dog is far-less anxious. We originally went to get a mass removed and the doctor was super thorough. Happy to have found them!

Unfortunately, my experience at this veterinary office was quite disappointing. During my first and only visit in 2020, when we brought our new puppy for a checkup, the staff seemed ill-informed. Despite my wife informing them that the dog had already received its shots from the place we got it, and was up to date, the younger veterinarian insisted on administering additional shots. Upon returning home, our puppy started vomiting reddish black substance and experienced seizures within four hours. Alarmed, we rushed our dog back to the vet, but they were unable to determine the cause and advised us to seek help at an emergency vet clinic, as they were closing soon. Regrettably, our beloved pet passed away that night, leaving us with a hefty bill of $1500. I feel compelled to write this review, even after such a long time, as I believe it's important to inform others about our traumatic experience and prevent it from happening to anyone else.

This place saved my baby when he had a fever of 104 for over a week. They have always gotten in all my animals same day when they needed help right away. Even my bearded dragon.

My one-year-old Yorkie, Milo developed some gray mucus in his eyes. I called my vet and explained his situation, so they asked me to wash his eyes and to keep checking his eyes often, and if the mucus didn't go away, we were to bring him in. The problem was we were leaving Atlanta for a little vacation in Destin. We arrived in Destin and after a few days the mucus was still coming back, so I called three or four vets, but they were all booked except for the Emerald Coast Animal Hospital. I was able to get Milo in and they examined him and found out he had a bacteria infection called conjunctivitis. They prescribed a few prescriptions and he is now back to normal and doing fine. I recommend Emerald Coast Animal Hospital to all who need their pets medical needs met.
