How to Save on Veterinary Costs at VCA Clermont Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Had a wonderful experience with the Vet, they were very friendly and explained everything clearly. My cat has had an ear infection for almost 3 months now and we were referred to another clinic for possible surgery, we came to Vet trauma for a second opinion and he didn't think we needed surgery gave us some antibiotics and a follow up to see if my cat starts doing better. very affordable and would definitely recommend to friends

My family and I are so grateful to have found the VCA Animal hospital in Clermont. We had to make a very tough and emotional decision to lay our sweet boy D to rest. The entire staff was wonderful at every point of contact. From scheduling the appointment, to picking up his ashes, everyone was so compassionate and empathetic to our situation. They made everything as comfortable as possible for all of us, and for that, we are eternally grateful. We know our boy had a peaceful passing thanks to everyone there. When we picked up his ashes, they took so much care and went above and beyond to give us beautiful ways to remember him. Thank you so much for your kindness! It means so very much!!

⚠️Absolute lack of empathy and ridiculous administrative stupidity. ⚠️I called VCA Clermont to get help for my 3-year-old, 9-pound Chihuahua who has a painful, inflamed lump on his paw. Since I am a brand new client, this was their chance to show me they care. Instead, the employee who answered the phone was ridiculously absurd. From minute one, her position was firmly set on NOT helping. She showed zero flexibility and absolutely no compassion for a tiny dog in distress. ⚠️If a veterinary clinic cannot accommodate a minor emergency or show any flexibility for a new client trying to build trust,⚠️ then you are simply useless when it comes to taking care of my best friend. They are inhumane, completely rigid, and treat animals like slots on a spreadsheet rather than living beings in pain. Do not bring your beloved pets here; they do not care from the very first phone call⚠️⚠️⚠️

This is the BEST animal hospital in Clermont! They have the friendliest staff and offer high-quality service! Everybody is warm and welcoming, and they always make us feel at home. We feel included and valued, and are given honesty, instead of it being "all about the money." During exams everything is always explained thoroughly, and asking questions is encouraged. The team is absolutely amazing! They make our animals feel comfortable and safe, and do a great job at handling. Very happy pets and very happy owners! We love the staff at VCA Clermont Animal Hospital, and will continue to come back!

The staff and vet techs were extremely friendly and kind, so I want to thank them for that. Unfortunately, with my cat almost passing away due to the vet not listening, I have to leave a negative review. I initially brought my cat, Lily, in because she had been losing weight. We found out that she has hyperthyroidism and started her on medication, which worked great. Two weeks later, she had started clawing at her face and was tearing up the skin around her mouth like something was hurting her in there. We took her in to VCA as soon as we could, and were told it was just allergies. I called back to express my concern as she was in pain and still mauling her face. I spoke directly with the vet and asked if she was able to look in her mouth, and she said that she had been able to look a little bit and confirmed it was still just allergies. I felt like it was kind of being brushed off, so I decided to go with my gut and take her for a second opinion. Thank god I did. The other vet was immediately attentive, and fully looked in her mouth and showed me how badly her back teeth and gums were infected. She does not let me look in her mouth at home, but she resigns herself to it at the vet, so this was the first look I had of it. We were immediately referred to a specialist, and were told by them that if two more weeks had gone by, the infection would have spread to her brain and she would have been too far gone. $10k in surgeries later, I still can't believe that we almost lost her. I hate to leave negative reviews, but hopefully Dr. Calzada will see this, take our experience seriously, and make changes moving forward.
