Our 11 month Miniature Schnauzer has had several medical issues since we got him in July. On Saturday he started having complications we couldn’t figure out. We decided it was time to take him to the hospital due to excessive blood in his stool. When I tell you from the time I called to every minute he was with the CARE team was amazing. I was willing to spend whatever it took to get him healthy. The team was very comforting knowing I was very emotional and felt helpless. My pup received the best care and know he knew he was in the best hands. Words can’t describe how knowing he was in good hands made me sleep at night. He was hospitalized for 24 hours. I called at 2AM and they had updates for me. I came to visit him at 2pm the next day and he was doing so much better. They let me bring my other pup to show her he was okay. Every time I called they knew who I was and were extremely professional and comforting to all of the emotions when your baby is in their care. Highly recommend this hospital for any urgent needs for any animal.

For rabbit owners. The only reason I would even leave one star is because the staff appeared nice and that’s the only reason. We brought our rabbit in who happens to get GI stasis often lately every since we got another rabbit. We usually go to blue pearl but decided to go here because they had a vet specialized in exotic animals. We waited in our car from 8 in the morning to 3 pm. We often had to reach out for any updates. They seemed more concerned with the billing than the actual care of your animal. The communication was horrible and they basically did nothing for our rabbit. They did not feed him critical care, they did not monitor him to see if he would eat, they did not regulate his core temperature.he sat in that place for 7 hrs basically unattended and untreated. They gave him the pain meds and hydration pack last minute before they shipped him out the door to us. But they definitely charged a huge bill for seeing the doctor and giving him a hydration pack and a pain injection. He seemed to have gotten worse and we are now at blue pearl where he will be properly stabilized and cared for like previous times. Do not take your rabbit to this clinic. This is from two experienced rabbit owners.

In our darkest days with our dog the staff at CARE was our only compassionate light! Our dog Stout hated going to the vet but when he fell ill we had no choice. I had called another emergency vet & was told the wait was 5 hours!!! At CARE we were ushered into a room right away with Lan & Dr. Lentovich who explained everything in detail & Stout actually felt at ease with them which made me feel like he was in good hands. After a devastating scenario was determined after testing we were able to bring Stout home for 1 more evening together.... the next morning we had no wait again as we brought Stout back for end of life care. Lan and Dr. Lentovich were waiting for us once again to walk us through the hardest day. If you don't want lobby's full of animals, to be told there is hours long wait or to feel like just a number THIS IS THE STAFF TO COME TO!

Hands down the best place in Pinellas county to take your fur baby in an emergency situation. Our miniature dachshund Maddie was hit on the head and needed immediate care in the middle of the night. I called Care and explained the situation and they told me to come on in and asked all pertinent information over the phone so all I need to do is was sign in with the receptionist (who was amazing) and initial a few boxes on a very short document. Our baby was seen very quickly and it was determined she would need to stay the night for monitoring due to the extent of her injury. The staff was very informative, caring and all around amazing considering our fur babies diagnosis and care plan to which they made very clear what would be happening, when it would happen and the next step of treatments. Overall the staff was very friendly and supportive and made us feel at ease leaving our baby overnight.

Like any emergency vet, it's not cheap, but you get the best care possible. They sent pictures of my pup so I could see she was doing ok. Very thorough and informative. I've read some negative reviews on here, but that was definitely not my experience. I hope I don't need emergency vet care again any time soon, but if I do, I will not hesitate to use CARE.
