Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

The Vet and Vet Techs were outstanding. They took the time to explain things to us and answered our questions. I'm glad that we found them.

My lab was having problems breathing and was very lethargic. When I got there they took a while to see us even in his poor condition and only one other car was in the parking lot. They thought he may have cancer due to fever so took x rays and gave him opioids and said they were stumped and that I should take him to blue pearl emergency….after waiting for what seemed a very long time to check out and we did a lot of waiting in the “room” prior checked out $800. Blue Pearl took blood (elevated white blood cell count 60k vs norm of 30k) and more x rays gave him morphine. Talked to us wanted to run more test to try and see if they could figure out the problem…abdomen scan and urine test and to keep him. I declined and opted to see if the medicine would work….and came home with antibiotics, anti inflammatory medications and pain killers. Checked out $1,300. Grand total of $2,100. I was going to go to Blue Pearl btw but thought Pike Creek VCA could handle just feel like I paid a lot for nothing. 2 days later he seems to be doing fine! Aside from the money they are always super slow!!
