The doctors and care staff are all amazing and wonderful handling our senior dog. They also do the exam with you in a private room. Friendly, easy to ask questions, clear detailed explanations. My only complaint is there typically aren't last minute appointment availability for non-emergency but urgent needs. And the limited hours means I typically also go to another vet for emergencies in the evening and weekends.

Sunshine Animal Hospital have taken care of my golden retriever, Bonnie, since I moved here 2.5 years ago. Sunshine has always provided compassionate and top-of-the-line care for Bonnie. They truly go above and beyond for their patients. This past April, I had a lengthy discussion at Bonnie’s routine checkup about whether to have her spayed. I had researched this extensively and the vet was willing to have a lengthy dialogue with me about the options and the pros and cons of each. She respected my decision to hold off on the spay (and Sunshine cancelled the surgery appointment I had for 2 days later without fuss). To my dismay, just 10 days after our visit, Bonnie began showing signs of pyometra, which is a deadly disease and a risk that intact females incur as they age. It was partly because of Dr K’s helpful information that I was able to catch it early. Naturally, Bonnie fell ill on a Saturday night. I desperately emailed Sunshine that evening to see if they could get her in for surgery on Monday - our only other option was to pay a ~600% premium (or more) at the emergency vet for an already expensive surgery. It felt like an answered prayer when I got a reply the next day, on Sunday, letting me know they could take her first thing Monday morning. The surgery went well and Bonnie has recovered perfectly. The entire saga was the most difficult point in my life as a pet owner, and I will always be grateful for the care that Sunshine gave to Bonnie (and understanding to me as I navigated that decision and crisis). This is an excellent veterinary practice and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Amazing experience at Sunshine. The entire team was thoughtful, considerate of my pup with some behavioral needs, very thorough with the exam and medication discussion, and made me feel like they truly understand my reactive dog. It was all around a great visit. I’ve also taken my guinea pig here and had the same amazing experience! Highly recommend!!

I took my dogs to Sunshine and they were all so great. Everyone was kind, gentle with my 2 older dogs, and helpful for all questions, including pricing. Gracie was our vet tech and she is awesome :)
