How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Platte Valley Veterinary

Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Kidd and staff are excellent with our Cockapoo. We’ve seen her for routine visits since our dog was a puppy and a few urgent visits between. It’s obvious that Dr. Kidd and her staff are in the veterinary business because they have big hearts to help care for animals. The office has a small town, caring vibe. My kids love going with to appointments to pet the office cat.

We’ve always had great visits with Dr Kidd at Platte Valley Veterinary. Dr Kidd is kind to the animals and able to diagnose them quickly and easily. Our cat and dog seem comfortable there. I appreciate Dr. Kidd’s competence and her staff are caring and attentive.

I am very glad we found Dr Kidd. My dog gor hurt and I needed a new vet. I sent an email. I got one back the very next morning that was like instant message. I had an appointment that week after a vet er visit. Everything was handled this way. Janette was great. She had the appointment scheduled right away. Then my dog hurt heslrself again. Back to the ER. Janette called me the next morning to check on her then everyday before she was off for the weekend. I really appreciate the check ins. Also, being g very friendly. Dr. Kidd is really nice and took time explaining everything to us and what the plan would be going forward.

We switched just for convenience a few years ago with our older little girl. But we keep going back , for the dedicated staff . Dr Kidd & her staff are animal lovers & it shows . We also have a new addition to our pack & Reese requires special attention. Wouldn’t take her anywhere else.
