How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Healing Springs Veterinary Care
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Highly recommended! I brought my 1 year 3 month old puppy, Burt, to Dr. Burnett due to a chronic limp he had since a boisterous play date with a larger dog. He was limping on and off for over 6 months, with only recommendations for very expensive X-rays from our out-of-state vet. Burt is very timid and avoidant around new people, so I was worried about Dr. Burnett’s ability to get her hands on him. Dr. Burnett drove out to my house and spent over an hour with Burt getting him comfortable and observing his injury. She was so patient with Burt, and she never pressured him or rushed him if he was showing signs of fear. She was able to perform a few adjustments. His limp completely vanished, and after 3 months and plenty of boisterous play dates, it hasn’t returned. We spent time talking about what was potentially giving him pain, supplement options , and she even sent me recommendations for chiropractic care in my home state in case his symptoms come back. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Burnett for working patiently with my nervous dog and for giving him his mobility back! She genuinely cares and is very talented. I highly recommend her services.
