How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Planned Pethood International

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Worst place ever . This place lies.We were never told that we had to have payment in full before we could take him home . They are holding my dog hostage from us . Save your money and go somewhere else .My dog's name is Bennie. He was hit by a car last week and the driver took off. We have spent every dollar we had to care for Bennie. We were refered to take him to Planned Pethood for an emergency surgery to put a plate in his back right femur. We were told to pay $300 on the day of his surgery and they would tear up the relinquish our rights paper. So we did bring them the $300 on the day of surgery. However nothing was said to us about us having to have the remaining balance of $2,000 paid before he can come home. We would have never taken him here if we would have known that. They're holding my baby from me, it's not right and it's not fair let him go. Let my baby come home. We have the cost down to 1300 which we still don't have yet. And they still refuse to let him come home. Until the $1,300 is paid in full. This is not right this was not told to us at the time we brought him into you or we would have taken him elsewhere ,where somebody could take payments. Please let my baby come home let Bennie go. And since then we have not been able to see him after his surgery or anytime since the time we dropped him off which has been over a week not right to do to our fur baby. He has feelings too and he misses us. Very cruel of you guys. Let Bennie come home!!! Please help the fight to bring Bennie home.....Release Bennie Please ❤.We are 💔w/out Bennie......Let Bennie go!!!!!Go Fund me is Please bring Bennie home after his injury. Please donate to help me come up with the $1,300

They are the best. My Shih Tzu jumped off the bed and tore both ACL's and both meniscus in both knees. Took her to a local emergency vet and they quoted me $5000.00 a knee. Called Planned Pethood International they got her in the next day. They did the surgery that day and I picked her up the following day. The cost was very reasonable at $1200.00 for one knee. When this one is 100% we will do the next knee in about 4 months. We are 5 weeks out and she is walking a little now.

The vet was knowledgeable and gave me good recommendations to help my cat. She is already doing much better. That being said, they are not consistent about answering the phone or returning calls so would suggest just going there rather than trying to speak to someone over the phone

We were treated very well by the crew, and I'm very happy with the way they treated our little pup too. Very knowledgeable and kind! We're a definite return customer, even if it's a 30 min drive! Well worth it! Oh, and the prices are unbeatable!

My dog needed emergency surgery due to a foreign body. The whole staff were so great in explaining everything, breaking down the cost and most importantly taking care of my baby. The surgery was successful and he stayed a few days after just to make sure everything was good. The staff were great at keeping me updated with his progress and when I picked him up, he was back to his old self! I’m so thankful for all the staff here, if weren’t for their quick acts and caring attitude my dog wouldn’t be here now. So thank you!! You guys literally saved my dogs life, I’m forever grateful!
