How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Subject: Thank You for Your Excellent Care Today Dear Banfield Team, I can't thank you enough for the outstanding care you provided for Apollo today. From the Front Desk to the Vet Tech and Dr. Ann Montague, everyone was incredibly caring and helpful. Dr. Ann Montague is a wonderful veterinarian, and I would highly recommend her and your entire team! Thank you again for everything. Best regards, Lora

Rachel was an amazing technician and went above & beyond to expedite an appointment for us and meet the needs of my older anxious dog. Dr Cottingham has always made us feel well taken care of and has a great approach to my dogs overall care. I drive past 2 different Banfield to come to this location specifically and will continue to do so!

The helpful staff here is a huge plus. While adding a fourth dog to our account, they looked ahead and suggested, then arranged to set up the new intake exam and our other dogs' regular checkup all on the same morning. The vets and their assistants always take time to clearly communicate results and concerns. They are professional and competent. I'd move my personal health care there, if they saw humans too. :)

So my love passed on 6/14/2024 and I have notified Banfield. It is egregious for them to tell me that I signed a yearly contract and keeps billing me even after I replaced my debit card

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I am so disgusted by how this place treats animals. I set an appointment for my puppy for a problem that was urgent, only to have to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes and be told to leave because my dog was being…. Wait for it, a DOG. my puppy will bark at other dogs when they bark at him and since he’s a large breed and has a louder bark we were told to leave because he’s being aggressive??? The other dogs that were barking however were fine? On top of this, the person who came out to ask us to leave looked at my puppy and said they don’t like to wait for treatment with cases like these, immediately after saying we’d have to reschedule for Monday and when I came back to resolve the problem it turned into Thursday. disgusted by how horrible people can be to an animal in need just because they are afraid of his breed. I was told I could bring him back sedated? Because he barks? Horrible. And when the next place we went to called to get my pups records, they tried to dissuade them from treating him saying he was lunging and being rude. Maybe people who are passionate about helping animals should be working vet jobs and not people who are lazy and don’t want to deal with the excitement of a one year old puppy . All in all if I could give this place a 0 star review I would. No thanks to this place my pup is getting better. A much better bet to go to is bear valley animal hospital! Low cost and fast check in there, and they understand that a dog will be a dog 🙌🏼
