How to Save on Veterinary Costs at American Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

The doctor here is very knowledgeable, and the staff is kind. I have a really big Rottweiler, and I love that they weren't afraid of him at all because he is a big teddy bear but was in a lot of pain. They are busy and get booked quickly, but they are very good about getting back to you when there is a cancelation according to your level of emergency. They are affordable and upfront about how much things will cost when you ask, so I have always appreciated that. I highly recommend this place for your fur baby because they understand that these aren't just pets but they are also our family. 🐾

Friendly, professional staff in a clean facility. We are new to area and NO ONE was excepting new patients even though google reviews said they were. Was able to get an appointment and not have to pay outrageous emergency vet bill like my other dog in August

Very welcoming and spot on asking all the questions I had for the new yellow lab puppy I just picked up. Surgery are out till October which is fine he’ll just have to be neutered some other time.

I asked to purchase an iv and drip for my dog, and they wouldn't let me unless I brought him in for an office visit with him, which I couldn't afford. It would have saved his life if I had done it properly with the right supplies. Instead, I improvised, and my puppy passed away. I'm not blaming them, but they could have sold me what he needed.
