How to Save on Veterinary Costs at East Meets West
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Martin is a very special person but she’s also a one of a kind vet. She not only cares about the animals but their people, on a level that I have not experienced before. I came to her for cancer treatment for my cat Cookie and her approach to treatment was amazing. She combines diet/nutrition,eastern Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbs) and western medicine. My favorite part about my experience with her is the way she educates her clients. She take the time to explain how everything works and why which was beyond helpful and allowed me to help Cookie even more. Her prices are also very reasonable. She gave me more time with my sweet girl and helped her pass peacefully at my home when it was time. I can not recommend her enough. We went to 4 different vet hospitals before finding her, including UC Davis, none of them could help the way she did. I have been telling everyone about her and I will do my best to spread the word. She’s absolutely amazing, don’t think twice about calling her.

Dr. Martin, Thank you for taking care of my Granddog Chance and all of our family. Without your knowledge, compassion, and empathy, I don't know how my daughter or grandchildren would have made it without you. I can't thank you enough for all the time you spent with them and all the positive reinforcement and kind words. I can't even begin to say enough or ever repay you!!! .............Janet Autry Patterson................Grandma
