How to Save Money at Vetco Vaccination Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Unfortunately, you have to give a 1 to even leave a comment hence they get a one but they ideally need a negative 1 million stars. There is TERRIBLE manager by the name of BIANCA who has POOR communication skills and a power trip/complex. She did not provide accurate information in all honesty, I could slaughter this company due to some errors on their part but I will let it slide this time BUT if you would like your pet in the hands of INCOMPETENCE and seeking to PUNISH your pet - this would be the place to take them but I am assuming you love your pet and if so, this is not for you unless it is your only resort and if so you better watch your pet like a hawk! Further, Bianca and her nasty attitude and behavior is TERRIBLE for business and so glad I will just spend my funds at another site. It is not like there are not several other locations or businesses.

Another Vetco staff said I could bring my dog in for her rabies vaccine in a 2 weeks, which I did. Then when I try to bring my dog in for her rabies vaccine, they tell me they can't do it. It would interfere with a other vaccine that she was waiting to get a booster on. I get having specific schedules for the vaccines and such - but there needs to be some consistency among these clinics, and clearly, that doesn't exist. I guess that's what I get for using these other types of services. I find having her rabies up-to-date more important, but I wasn't really given that option with these clinics. After her next set of boosters that we're waiting on, I won't be returning to these Petco vet clinics.

Front desk staff, the lady checking in the animals and the floor staff were nice. That being said, the vet and the vet assistant in the back who were performing the services were entirely different. I brought my 1 year 4 month old Belgian Malinois here today to get his rabies shot. He has been to this clinic before and i’ve never had an issue until today. My dog is incredibly friendly, was even trying to say hi to the cats who were in line behind us and was friendly to ever person in there. The vet assistant grabbed my dog and made me wait behind a cone, this was okay wasn’t an issue to me. Then things started to take a turn as she didn’t even say hello to my dog or try and let him sniff her, just immediately grabbed him and then the vet walks over and again doesn’t introduce himself to us or my animal, and immediately sticks a thermometer in my dogs ear. My dog very softly does an uncomfortable growl, i would have done the same if someone i didn’t know just walked up and immediately stuck something in my ear without even saying hello. Then they make me muzzle him, no big deal. They do the same thing again and immediately grab my dog, try to pin him and he freaks out so they tell me due to his “aggression and fearful behavior” they refuse to service him and put that in his chart and sent us home. I have never worked with a vet who doesn’t introduce themselves to the dog or take the time to make the dog comfortable. The way they tried to manhandle him and pin him without so much as letting him sniff their hand wasn’t okay. The last time we were there the vet literally put peanut butter on her hand and let my dog lick it off the whole time and he had no issue. It really is the small things when it comes to animals and now i get to re-socialize my dog and make him not scared of the vet as this entire situation stressed him out so bad and he is now scared of the vet. Do NOT recommend going. It’s not worth the chance of having a good vet one trip and the worst one the next. Those 2 vets should not be allowed to work with animals period.

I brang my puppy to get his first shots. You check in with the vet assistant, my puppy was weighed and after we waited in line. We met the vet and he examined our puppy and then shots. We paid at the register once we were done.

People were nice except one lady in black sweater. She came off with rude attitude and also threw the medicine on the table. That is going in my pet I would appreciate some more care.
